CRADLE OF FILTH Guitarist Interviewed By LA CARMINA (Video)
April 24, 2011Canadian blogger, author, journalist, and TV host La Carmina conducted an interview with guitarist Paul Allender of British extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH about his music, genre labels, and photo manipulation art project "The Vomitorium". The chat, which was taped on February 13, 2011 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, can be viewed below.
CRADLE OF FILTH's North American "Creatures From The Black Abyss" headlining tour kicked off in Houston on February 1 and concluded in Atlanta on March 13. The 31-city trek featured support from NACHTMYSTIUM, TURISAS and DANIEL LIONEYE.
CRADLE OF FILTH's new album, "Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa", sold 5,800 copies in its first week of release to debut at position No. 99 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "Godspeed On The Devil's Thunder", opened with a little over 11,000 copies back in November 2008 to debut at position No. 48 on The Billboard 200 chart. This was slightly less than the first-week tally registered by 2006's "Thornography", which shifted nearly 13,000 copies the first week out to enter The Billboard chart at No. 66, and "Nymphetamine", which premiered with almost 14,000 copies back in October 2004.
